  • This is the perfect class for keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, or drums players. Your little rocker will learn to play easy rock songs in a group setting. Students will perform a couple songs in an end-of-session concert. Students need to provide their own guitar (preferably electric) unless they want to play keyboards, bass guitar, or drums. Prerequisite of Level 1 guitar class or equivalent experience. Student can enroll multiple times. Minimum 3, Maximum 6

    This class offers excellence in classical ballet training for children age 4 and up.   • NEW SHOW: Mulan Jr. - Travel back to the legendary, story-telling days of ancient China with this action-packed stage adaptation of Disney’s Mulan. Students will perform in a full-scale musical production at the conclusion of the classes including lighting, sets and costumes. The study of theatre benefits students through teamwork, public speaking, and an understanding of the creation of a live performance. Please note: Dress rehearsals and performances will be held at Rising Curtain Theatre’s facility. Dress Rehearsals: 5/14 & 5/15 from 3:30-5:30 with performances on 5/16, 5/17, 5/21 and 5/22 at 7:00pm each evening. Minimum 15, Maximum 25

    SpaceTime’s Space Chase after school enrichment program is an exciting hands-on, minds-on outer space adventure where kids get to try and track down an alien mad scientist determined to turn off the Sun. In order to stop him they will have to put together pieces of space knowledge that they pick up in the class to find the clues that solve this outer space mystery adventure. It’s non-stop fun and learning as they test out their spaceship and rover piloting skills and put on their space detective hats to try and figure out how to catch this crafty extraterrestrial. Minimum 8, Maximum 18

  • Dragon Tao Kung Fu is a blend of ancient training techniques derived from Kung Fu styles such as Shaolin & Wing Chun. Physical strength, balance, flexibility and endurance are components of our classes as well as self-defense. Your child will also learn techniques designed to focus their minds, attention and emotions through philosophies such as Chinese Qigong, Yoga and Meditation.     Sticky Fingers Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes (all seasonal and as local as possible!), master culinary skills (that they can put to use in family kitchens!) and nourish their bodies and minds. We explore a seasonally abundant feature ingredient each week and practice a range of cooking skills, all in a safe and engaging environment that encourages lots of imagination and self-expression! Three core values underpin the classes we teach: respect for children, respect for families and respect for the environment. Our After School Enhancement classes at Edison will each feature a healthy recipe, emphasize safety and skill building, and encourage environmental awareness in an engaging way. We provide all of the tools, ingredients and instruction needed to cook up a healthy, substantial snack each week, and everyone will have access to our on-line recipe collection for future family cooking fun! Allergies: All Sticky Fingers Cooking classes are always nut free. Any and all food allergies can and will be accommodated - All kids can cook (and eat!) in their Sticky Fingers Cooking class!

    The Good Citizen’s Club will meet weekly to collaborate on ideas to better serve others. Students will learn the importance of helping others in their school, community, state, and country. As a team we will learn what other schools across the country are doing to better their communities while brainstorming ways to help our own communities. Different club activities include: food drives, cards for soldiers, cards for hospital patients, trash clean-up, learning about random acts of kindness, etc. Minimum 5, Maximum 20

  • Yoga Love offers an all age, play-based approach to yoga and healthy living. This class is available to all kids that want to have fun through movement with engaging games, music and learning activities. We invite your children to join the new generation of students extending their yoga off the mats…and into their future. Themes will be new each week, exploring all 5 senses. Weekly activities will include integration of wellness and movement, focusing on topics like: Building a community. How to be a friend to; yourself, new friends, groups, the world. Intention; dealing with effects of your attitude, boredom, choice to be happy. Confidence. Compassion & Empathy. Finding calm; during stillness, frustration and with friends. Stewardship. Minimum 10, Maximum 30.

    If more than 10 kids sign up at full price, 50% of all other spaces will be offered as donation based class for entire 17 week program. Donations can be any value parents deem appropriate for child's participation and affordability. We want to share this holistic journey to as many children as we can.
